Richard Atkins

Managing Director

A results-driven analyst, strategist and leader

Rich sets the direction for Nevado, looks after finance and legal, and brings an analyst's eye to client work, especially when it comes to measuring whether a project is paying off. He completed a Bachelor of Business Science (Information Systems) at the University of Cape Town in 1998, then studied law at the College of Law and was called to the Bar by Middle Temple in 2006.

Knows more than is strictly necessary about wildflower meadows, and will share all of it given the slightest excuse

Has been on 'once-in-a-lifetime' trips to six Rugby World Cups (most with Andy)

Got so tired of hunting for decent coffee when travelling that he got a robot to build propercoffee.app to solve it

Andy Wood

A creative thinker adept across strategy, analysis, design and development

Andy's work spans strategy, design and brand, business analysis, software engineering and complex technical integrations. He helps our clients make good decisions and then leads the work of putting them into practice. He completed a Bachelor of Business Science (Information Systems) at the University of Cape Town in 1998.

Wrote and performed adventure rock songs in a musical project, Brotherhood of the Crystal Star
Hopes one day to publish one of the speculative fiction novels he's written
Taught himself to code at 13 by making a game called Dragonblade in HyperCard on a Macintosh LC

James Scully

Client Services Director

A strategic organiser and relationship builder who brings clients, teams and complex projects together

James leads account management and client services, and he looks after client relationships that in some cases have lasted for decades. He also runs our internal teams and much of Nevado's business operations. He earned a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Graphic Design from Bath Spa University in 2000.

Once taught Andy to ride a bicycle
Is obsessed with paragliding, especially anywhere with mountains
Wears shorts all year round, including once to a business meeting in the Middle Temple Dining Hall
Was one of 678 people who set the Guinness World Record for the most people to row 500 metres in a 24-hour relay
